Our goals

No More War For Afghanistan
An archive of FOR's work from 2008 to 2014.

Current FOR status: Discontinued.

The Fellowship of Reconciliation has been against the war and occupation of Afghanistan from the beginning. FOR's direct work on Afghanistan started with "Our Journey to Smile," a collaborative project with the Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers and Voices for Creative Nonviolence in 2009.

At FOR's Afghanistan program, we try to expand awareness of the impact of war on Afghans, the high costs of the war machine, and to promote alternatives to war and violence in Afghanistan. Through this channel, FOR tries to deliver the message from Afghan civilians to our members.

In collaboration with our Afghan partners, FOR promotes nonviolent practice as well as conflict resolution through peaceful means. FOR is an advocate of peace in Afghanistan, of ending the occupation and for funding education in Afghanistan.
